Even the ski resorts in Gatlinburg have to make 90% of their snow. It does fall on occasion obviously, but it doesn't last long. although its not because the county clears it, I dont think they have any equipment. Here are a few grainy pictures I dug up from back then (about 5 years ago) I was living with my parents at the time between college and the marine corps, we lived somewhere on the side of this mountain, and for whatever reason I decided to climp up to the top of it and take some pictures. (I think all of these were from early December to guage the weather)
I dont remember what I was doing all this for, or what happened to my higher res photos, but this is my DSM (A monster pushing 130 horses....at the fly...) on the road which goes around the mountain, on the back side.
And some of the pictures I took from the top and put together as a panorama, apperrantly very half-assedly
Anyways, tourism in the area makes it horrible all summer long, and around Christmas, but other than that the place is a ghost town
